I couldn't decide if I should put this here or in Brain Break. It has good info about funtions, some that we would use this year, set to Thrift Shop. The calculator is different than the one we use.

REMEMBER: If x repeats it can still be a function if it has the same y each time. Example: (2,9) (4,18) (2,9) is a function |

Function Notation
f(x) is read as "f of x" and just means "y" |
We will cover this more in depth in the next unit, but this is a good preview of how we will quickly graph linear (straight) functions.
Pay attention to how the equation looks. Make sure yo watch starting at the 10:00 mark. These are some of the most missed equations. He also briefly mentions systems of equations which we will do in Unit 7. |
